Dr. Bashar Alkabbani is a seasoned dentist and entrepreneur with a rich and diverse background in the field of dentistry. Graduating from Damascus University - Faculty of Dental Medicine in 1998, Dr. Alkabbani embarked on a journey that would lead to a remarkable career in dental healthcare.
With over 25 years of dedicated practice, Dr. Alkabbani's commitment to dentistry shines through. His journey took him to the United States, where he furthered his education and earned national dental board accreditation from the prestigious Medical College of Georgia. He continued his academic pursuits at the University at Buffalo - School of Dental Medicine, New York, solidifying his expertise in the field.
Beyond his professional achievements, Bashar Alkabbani is a man of diverse interests. When he's not in the dental clinic, you can find him on the soccer field, reveling in the joy of being outdoors, or pursuing his passion for flying, particularly in small airplanes. He cherishes every moment spent on adventures with his three beloved sons: Omar, Muhanad, and Jude.In 2008, Dr. Alkabbani made a significant mark in the world of dentistry by founding The Dental Emergency Room PLLC. This innovative concept was born out of his unwavering commitment to providing immediate relief and top-notch dental care to patients suffering from dental pain, an aspect of dentistry that had been overlooked for far too long. Notably, Dr. Alkabbani is a proud Gold Alumni of the Pikos Institute and has successfully completed all surgical courses. His dedication to staying at the forefront of dental technology is evident as he utilizes the latest and most advanced digital technologies in his practice. Dr. Sara Dueñes
Dentist
Dr. Dueñes grew up in Rochester, MN and yes, she’s short, but still competed in and loves a variety of sports and dance. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Macalester College in St. Paul with a double major in Chemistry and Biology and a minor in Psychology.
She worked at the Mayo Clinic doing laboratory research. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of MN. She has received awards, attended national conferences, and published a scientific dental journal article. She loves the combination of science and the art of dentistry, but especially transforming people with cosmetic work and dentures and relieving pain with extractions and root canal treatments as well as treating children – all of her patients appreciate her small hands.
She is familiar with Spanish and enjoys many things like cooking, fishing, swimming, paddleboarding, sailing, telescoping, photography, playing all kinds of games, solving puzzles, and trying guitar as of lately. She prides herself in always striving to do everything to the best of her ability, so come on in and have that bad tooth removed, repaired, or replaced by someone “fun-sized”!
Dr. Shaun Rizzo

Dr. Shaun Rizzo grew up in MN and is now a current resident of Hennepin County. He is extremely excited to share his passion for dentistry in the state he grew up in. Dr. Rizzo graduated from New York University where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. During his time at NYU, he was selected to participate in the implant honors program and achieved several awards from distinguished faculty.
Dr. Rizzo is well versed in all aspects of general dentistry and especially loves the opportunity to help relieve patients of their dental pain. His interests include cosmetic dentistry, implants, full mouth rehabilitation and temporomandibular joint management.
During his free time, Dr. Rizzo enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. His hobbies include basketball, tennis, traveling, camping and hiking. He is eager to help you with all of your dental needs.
Dr. Saied Mostafa Moazzami

Dr. Saied Moazzami has over 30 years of experience in the Dental Industry. He previously worked at the UMN, School of Dentistry as an Adjunct Faculty (2019-2022). Prior to that, he worked as a full-time faculty in Mashhad Dental School (1991-2015). Concurrently, he has run his private practice for over 21 years. He was recognized as a distinguished dentist by the FICD, International College of Dentists, USA (2016).
He is inherently enthusiastic about ethics, providing high-quality service, teamwork, and has a lifetime education to help people; which made the choice of joining the Dental Emergency Room and Elegant Dentistry team in April of 2022, the easiest choice.
Dr. Saied Moazzami is bilingual (English and Farsi). He loves his family and friends. He enjoys spending time outdoors in our beautiful state, Minnesota.
Dr. Miguel Sanchez
Dentist
Dr. Sanchez DDS practices a patient-centered approach to dentistry, prioritizing the needs of his patients and relieving them of dental pain in a calm and comfortable manner. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Minnesota. While in dental school, he completed several research fellowships and has co-authored multiple research articles in peer-reviewed dental journals.
After graduating, he practiced general dentistry in Canada before moving back to Minnesota with his wife. He takes pride in taking the time to listen to his patients and providing quality dental care in the community.
In his spare time, he enjoys visiting new restaurants, traveling and spending time with his wife and baby girl!
Dr. Katy Neil
Dentist
Dr. Katy Neil has been practicing dentistry for over four years.
She enjoys getting to know patients, being creative, helping get patients out of pain, and helping them regain oral health with their natural teeth whenever possible.
“I like relating to others, working with my hands, and helping to reduce any anxiety patients may have about a fear of dentistry. I also like talking to patients about their hobbies and things they like to do!”
Outside of work, Dr. Katy has many interests and hobbies including pottery, painting, hip-hop and tap dancing, hiking, learning new languages (and practicing Spanish), traveling, finding new donut and coffee shops, and so much more.
Dr. Katy is excited to work with emergency patients and treat those in need at the Dental Emergency Room!
